All Things Pass Update & Urgent Request

January 5, 2010

Dear Friend:

I hope you and your family and friends are well. Please take a few minutes to read this important message. My computer has now fatally failed and I am seeking support to acquire a new computer because it has become impossible for me to continue with the important work I have been doing and hope to do.

At this very moment a huge rebellion is threatening to overthrow the current government of the DR Congo (which might not be a bad thing), but the story is in complete western media whiteout. The atrocities and death tolls and identities of combattant are being hidden by the United Nations. The new U.S. Africa Command is also involved. I've published the hidden details and my story continues to be picked up far and wide by independent media, but ignored by the corporate propaganda system: the few tiny reports that have appeared have cast this as a tribal conflict led by an animist priest (read: immoral anti-Christian savagery).

New Congo Uprising and Massacres Hidden by Media and United Nations  (Originally & also titled: "Belgian Paratroopers to Crush Rising Congo Rebellion?")

My work is important. Immediately after my signature below are a few testimonials that I have received about my work. Please read these, they are surprising. My primary focus remains shining the spotlight on foreign involvement in devastating Africa. I would also like to be able to do more with Afghanistan, and I have some important work to do on Mongolia. But without a modern, fast, powerful computer I can't do the writing or research or multimedia management or production.

I have recently launched this new web site not yet finished), funded by a supporter to enable me to post my own stories, which was no longer possible with AllThingsPass.com. (The final form that this new web publishing venue will take is undetermined.)

Ever wonder where the minerals inside your iPod or MP3 player come from? I am quoted in "Blood Mineral," a story appearing in the January 2010 Current Science, a magazine aimed at middle school students, with one million readers across the U.S. (Note: that the information about "genocide" in Rwanda, in this story, is incorrect.) This is but another small but huge example of how I am making a difference.

Please see the short list of my 2009 achievements below. Briefly, I made some 14 (or more) college and community presentations across the U.S., published five major stories and many smaller ones, and contributed at least 20 hours on radio programs in the USA, and four 30-minute TV news spots in Britain.

The Books-to-Congo Project shipped over 200 books this year, at least 60% of which were new books, all of them important, and I sent $300 and several very expensive medical handbooks to a Congolese doctor working in rural Congo and $100 to a needy Congolese man in Kinshasa. On December 22, I shipped two more cases of books (at my personal expense). I continue to donate my photographs to genuine non-profit grass-roots organizations working to help the people of Central Africa. For example, check out the Shitowa Foundation home page and watch the short image gallery.

Already underway for 2010 is the thrust to get some of my most important stories published into a book. Second, I have assembled a team of independent film professionals and we are making a documentary film that will explode some of the myths about genocide and pluner in teh Great Lakes region of Africa. Third: I am currently working on several important stories exposing more of the propaganda behind the U.S.-backed warfare and plunder in Africa, one of these is the long-awaited report on plantations slavery in Congo.

While all of these projects need your support, can you please make a $100-$500 donation to assist me to acquire a new computer immediately? Of course, I appreciate very much the many different ways you have supported my work past and present. I also welcome all suggestions on how I might improve, from your perspective. Thank you for your caring, your listening, your wondering, your helping, and for your own important work in this world.

Love,

keith

TESTIMONIALS & 2009 HIGHLIGHTS

***************************************************************************************EUROPEAN DEFENSE OFFICIAL

December 22, 2009

Dear Mr. Snow,

My name is [redacted] and I work for the [redacted European country]  Ministry of Defense. I am working for [redacted]. We do research and we brief military on a host of different things about the countries that they will be deployed to, namely cultural differences (the military has the knack to offend local populations without knowing it, so we try and prevent that) history and conflicts. DRC, Burundi, Sudan, and previously Chad are the countries I brief the military on... I am e-mailing you firstly to thank you for your amazingly enlightening reports on the Great Lakes region/Sudan and the Horn. I am incredibly impressed with your in-depth knowledge of what is really happening behind the political and economic smoke screens that the mainstream news covers...  I have been looking into DRC for 3 years now (Intel reports and other research) but reading your reports has been similar to all of a sudden discovering a new reality.  The atrocities in the DRC and Rwanda have been reported for years with some mention of outside influences, but nothing compares to the in-depth analysis and examples of your reports.  What particularly interested me is that the wildlife funds like the Fossey Gorilla fund and others are also involved. Incredibly interesting information indeed... Between you and I the DR Congo is coming onto the radar screen for [redacted], and I would love to speak to you in person be it in [European country] or possibly elsewhere. Once again I am truly impressed with the true quality reporting that you have done. Keep up the good work.

Dear Mr. Snow, Dear Charles [Onana], and Colleagues:

As you may have noticed, the Appeal Chamber rejected again "genocide planning" at ICTR in acquitting Protais Zigiranyirazo, the brother-in-law of Rwandan President Habyarimana whose assassination in April 1994 triggered the violence that swept Rwanda, which has been portrayed as a "long-planned genocide."

I would like to take this occasion to send you our profound gratitude for your engagement and all the efforts you have deployed to bring the Truth in the light throughout your objective investigations, public declarations, media campaign, useful publications, etc. about the central Africa and Great Lakes human tragedy that occurs since many years. You and many of your colleagues are the pioneers of a new area of JUSTICE in our world. All of you are our HEROS, we, Congolese people will never, never, and never forget what you have done and realized trough your investigations to defend our live, our dignity and our rights as Humanity in this trouble world.

Your engagement  to find out the Truth and to let the whole world know what is really going on in the Congo today and in Rwanda since 1990 has a significant impact that demystified the tutsi extremists's propaganda of lies and evil disinformation that has been carried out by the public opinion worldwide during more than one decade.

Dear Keith:

Question: How could this happen that you will not be participating in the Hague conference [on genocide in Rwanda]? This should be an occasion for victims of RPF [Rwanda Patriotic Front] atrocities to see and tell you how much we respect and adore you. The world changes and people too. I still hope we will be back to Rwanda and you will be certainly our first guest and hero. You saved hundreds of thousands of lives with the information you provided. RPF has stopped killing in fear that you can't always tell the world lies. I really deplore your absence. I am not the only one to think so. May be I can take this opportunity to tell you what hundreds of thousands of Rwandan survivors think. Unfortunately, we can't pay you back. We frankly support your great job. You indeed saved hundreds of thousands of people by revealing the real face of RPF leaders and their supporters: Criminals. No more no less. I can't change my mind. From my deepest heart, I tell you what: Your courage of being a Truth-teller tells me who you are: One of Our real heroes. I owe you respect for your selfless commitment to human rights throughout Rwanda... The majority of Rwandans sincerely and certainly owe you a debt of unconditional gratitude.

Black Star News

Editor's Introduction: Ordinarily, we don't write introductions to articles or essays published in The Black Star News but the following column

[False Narrative: The Rwanda Genocide] by Keith Harmon Snow warrants it.

Snow has been at the forefront, as has this newspaper, in exposing Western duplicity in Africa and how U.S. and U.K. corporate and government interests have caused the deaths of millions of Africans; all for the love of money.

In the end, the African actors, the bit players really, are the ones who are blamed; wars of blood money and profits are referred to euphemistically by major newspapers, including The New York Times as "tribal wars," so that Americans can nod their heads and continue on with their lives without bothering to ask any further questions.

After all, "tribal wars" are endemic to Africa; they always happen. Africans just wake up one day, grab machetes and start chopping off their neighbors' heads to satisfy "blood lust;" a term actually once used by Time magazine to explain what the magazine contended was the reason for the Rwanda massacres of 1994.

Meanwhile, no one writes about the Western companies that somehow just always happen to be around digging the gold and the diamonds and ferrying off the timber and the young Congolese girls, even as the chopping off of heads and limbs occur.

But Keith Harmon Snow, whose long report follows, is not with the program. He is the anti-New York Times kind of reporter; and the anti-New Yorker magazine; and, anti-BBC and anti-Washington Post kind of journalist.

In fact, he is beyond being a mere journalist. He is the type of forthright individual that corporate media would refer to as "radical," in order to impugn his reputation, without having to challenge him on a single fact. He salvages a little respectability for the profession of journalism, which has been corrupted by corporate media.

He is a crusader with a mission; his goal is to expose United States' and Britain's roles in the genocide in Uganda and in the Congo; with characters like Rwanda's president Paul Kagame and Uganda's Yoweri K. Museveni and Sudan's Omar Hassan al-Bashir all playing the bit roles.

Snow writes long; he cannot help it because he feels the pain of the Congolese and the Ugandans and he wants someone somewhere --here in the United States and Britain-- to pay a price. He might be accused of being overly passionate; one has to be, when one feels the kind of indignation that Snow feels. When it is a matter of genocide no article can be too long. Readers that bear with Snow and read all his words will learn information not found in the corporate media.

Corporate media are often accomplices to crimes against humanity...

THE HEAVENLY HORSES OF MONGOLIA:
MONGOLIA'S LANDS & NOMAD'S UNDER THREAT

The steppe is the nomads' "middle of everywhere" and the center of every thing. You will see horsemen riding five in stride, like high plains drifters of the wild American cowboy genre, like a posse. The folk taxonomy of Mongolia, as everywhere, is under attack from globalization and the economies of commodification, sound-bite advertising and permanent warfare. Big mining corporations from China, Russia, Canada and the US are forcing more and more nomads off the land and into the sprawling poverty of ger cities. Nomadic herders defending their land water and air have been publicly labeled as terrorists by western "conservation" NGO's, and by the corrupt Mongolian government, whose laws are being written by the mining company lawyers.

THE CRIMES OF BONGO:

APARTHEID AND TERROR IN AFRICA'S GARDENS OF EDEN

From the editors: "For the last 5 weeks, we serialized Keith Harmon Snow's thesis: THE CRIMES OF BONGO with a view of opening up discussion on the perennial negative external influence in Africa. The violence that has gripped Gabon since Ali Bongo was declared president after succeeding his father who ruled for 41 years is a clear indicator that the 'people's democracy' is yet to take root in Africa. Elections are designed to legitimize those who serve the interests of powers that sap the continent's resources for purposes of curtailing a competitive environment...."
