Several years ago, in Sherbrooke area of Quebec, Canada, a little humming bird wound up in the garage of my parents' house and didn't seem to know how to get out. I watched it a little and it kept trying to get out through a window; a dead end. So I went to it and gently grabbed hold of it. It was surprising to me, but the bird stood still in my hand and I walked outside with it to help it find freedom, which it did. Once outside, it still stood on the palm of my hand, but I made just a little movement of the hand and the bird flew off. It finally found its way out with a little [assistance].
Sometimes, we need to "lend a helping hand". And that definitely applies for fellow human beings, as well.
A little assistance can go a long way.
